Mary Lee Snow
October 24, 1965 – May 28, 2026
Mary Lee Snow, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Hospice House in Bellingham, WA, after a courageous five-month battle with lung cancer. She was 60 years old.
Mary was born on October 24, 1965, to Richard and Harvey Lee Hammer in Texas. She grew up in Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, Mike Snow. In 1986, the two moved to Blaine, WA, eager to begin their life together. Mary and Mike were married at Northwood Alliance Church and built a beautiful life rooted in faith, love, family, and service.
Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two children, Matthew Snow (Hannah) and Miranda “Mandy” VanDerVeen (Tanner). She was the cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
For 34 years, Mary faithfully worked at Northwest Podiatric Lab in Blaine. She was a loyal and hardworking employee who formed lasting friendships through her dedication and kindness before retiring in December 2025.
Mary and Mike made Blaine their home for nearly 40 years. She loved the close-knit small-town community and treasured raising her family there. Mary lived a life marked by radical love and generosity. To know Mary was to feel welcomed, cared for, and deeply loved. She had an extraordinary ability to turn acquaintances into lifelong friends and would go out of her way to help anyone in need.
Her laughter, humor, compassion, and servant’s heart left an unforgettable mark on everyone she encountered. Mary’s legacy is one of unwavering love, faith, and kindness — a legacy that continued all the way to her final breath.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her, but they rejoice in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of Jesus.
“Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.”
Mary was survived by her mother Harvey Lee, who also recently passed away; her husband Mike; son Matthew (wife Hannah); daughter Miranda (husband Tanner); and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
