Our sweet mom Ethel Inez Rose Campbell Pomeroy passed away suddenly on August 21, 2015.
Mom was born on May 2, 1932 on a farm in Russell, Manitoba. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy “Dolly” Jane and Raymond Henry Campbell, and the 6th of 7 siblings. She lived in Manitoba until the age of 10. It was then her parents split and ‘Granny Dolly’ took all 7 kids to live with relatives in Canada. At the age of 16 she met and married her husband Gerald John Pomeroy and they were married for 49 years. Johnny passed away in 1997.
Ethel is survived by her 5 children: Sons Jerry (Oregon), Harry (California) and Warren (Canada), and daughters Penny (Washington), Lynda (Washington), 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and of course, her beloved dog Binky.
Mom had a huge heart and was loved by all who knew her. She was famous for her love of yard sales from which she collected many treasures. For the past 2 years she lived in Bellingham at Shuksan Convalescent Center. The staff at Shuksan treated her like family and we couldn’t have asked for better care.
She was an angel on earth and is now one in Heaven. We love you mom.
