Dixie Lee Pettit (Countryman), age 67, of Blaine, WA, passed away on Wednesday, November 25. She lost her valiant battle with breast cancer, and passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was married to Curtis Pettit Jr., until his death on June 18, 2002.
Dixie was a hairdresser for over 20 years and dearly loved her family. She is survived by her daughter Gina Harris (Steinbach), son Eric Steinbach, son-in-law Donnie Harris, 7 grandchildren: grandsons Ethan Brasfield, Adriel Brasfield, and Nicolas Steinbach; granddaughters Willow Brasfield, Serenity Brasfield, Brenya Harris, and Finely Harris, as well as 9 nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Curis H. Petti Jr. (2002), daughter Brenda Marie Olson (1974), and father Ralph W. Countryman (2004).
The family would like to thank the Whatcom Hospice House for taking such good care of Dixie in her final days.
