Boy attacked by dogs in Birch Bay

A young boy was said to have been brutally attacked by his Birch Bay neighbor’s dogs on June 5, according to a Facebook post from his mother Alisha Vander Veen.

Vander Veen said that her son suffered 38 wounds requiring three surgeons and multiple stitches. The dogs had grabbed the boy by his foot and dragged him under the fence, pulling the boards off and injuring his face, according to the post. She said her son required surgery on his eye, a bite wound on his neck and part of his ear which was bitten off.
