Blaine Rite Aid prepares for CVS transition

The Blaine Rite Aid, 1195 Boblett Street, will soon be under ownership of CVS Pharmacy.

The store and pharmacy will close at noon Sunday, September 21 for the transition and will re-open as CVS at 8 a.m. Monday, September 22.

The change comes after Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, which prompted CVS to acquire dozens of stores in the Pacific Northwest.

CVS Pharmacy spokesperson Amy Thibault previously said Blaine prescriptions will automatically be transferred to CVS Pharmacy.
