Sustainable Connections brings back Green Building Slam

Sustainable Connections will host its fourth annual Green Building Slam on Friday, September 22 in Bellingham for everyone from building and real estate professionals to homeowners.

The event will be held 5:30-9 p.m. at The Underground Nightclub, 211 E Chestnut Street, according to a Sustainable Connections press release. Tickets are $40 and include dinner.

Featured speakers will include representatives from HKP Architects, designer of the Mount Vernon Library Commons building; Corix Utilities Inc., which is working on Bellingham’s new waterfront district energy project; and Beth Doglio, former 22nd Legislative District state representative and now senior fellow at Climate Solutions.

Other presentations include Emerald Cities Collaborative’s economic inclusion manager, the manager of the Zero Energy/Emissions Buildings Learning Centre at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Northstar Clean Tech representative who will present on asphalt shingle recycling.
