Semiahmoo Resort could soon see a change in ownership.
The resort, listed through Crystal Investment Property, went on the market in mid-October, with call-in offers considered through Oct. 30. Per the listing, ownership is looking to either sell or recapitalize the entire resort, including the spa, golf course and all three on-site dining options: Packers Kitchen + Bar, Great Blue Heron Grill and Seaview Café.
“The process allows ownership to gauge market interest while preserving the character and guest experience that define Semiahmoo,” resort general manager Mark Andrew wrote in an email to The Northern Light.
Semiahmoo Resort representatives did not respond directly to questions about why the resort was listed for sale or about a price range being sought by ownership.
Andrew said the resort will continue operations as normal throughout the process, and that Semiahmoo hopes to attract a buyer who values the resort’s established reputation.
With the call-in offer period now closed, questions remain about what comes next.
“As with any transaction process, the next steps will depend on the nature of the interest received and subsequent discussions between ownership and prospective investors,” Andrew wrote in an email to The Northern Light. “From an operational standpoint, we remain focused on building the resort’s momentum and continuing to position Semiahmoo as a premier destination for guests from around the world.”
