The Blaine Art Gallery hosts its monthly Second Saturday Art Walk on February 14 from 4 to 6:30 p.m., featuring work by six local artists working in diverse media.
The event falls on Valentine’s Day, making it an ideal date night activity for couples looking to celebrate with a cultural outing. Original artwork also makes a meaningful gift for that special someone.
Bruce Scott brings vibrant pastels to the exhibition, while Dan DeLong showcases his skills in both pencil and watercolor. Jennifer Korn contributes striking glasswork pieces, and Jo Edwardsen displays her intricate beadwork creations. Photographer Lorraine Day rounds out the two-dimensional work, with Scott Cilmi presenting oil paintings.
Attendees can meet the featured artists, explore the gallery’s collection, and enjoy sweet treats provided by L & L Bakery. Admission is free.
The Blaine Art Gallery is located at 435 Martin Street in downtown Blaine. For more information, contact Blaine Arts Council Board President Margaret Owens at 310-699-2863.
