John Raymond Eastman
October 19, 1965 – July 26, 2026
John Raymond Eastman entered this world October 19, 1965 and died July 26, 2026. John was born to parents John and Gloria (Mutch) Eastman in Bellingham, WA, joining older sisters Kari and Sheli.
He attended Blaine schools from K-12, graduating in 1984. He attended DeVry University in Arizona with long time pal Randy DeVries, where they discovered the construction trade was more of a calling than formal studies despite John making the deans list. He returned to Whatcom county in 1990. Where he continued his career with Eastman Construction.
John worked hard and played just as hard. Snow skiing, water skiing, boating and golf. His diverse group of friends and their trades led to many group projects
John was preceeded in death by his father, John Harvey Eastman and his mother-in-law, LuJuana Sjoding.
He is survived by his wife, Kim, together for 33 years; stepchildren Tamera (Paul) Iverson and Mitchell Williams; mother Gloria Eastman; sisters Kari Eastman and Sheli (Jackson) Moore; sister-in-law Kendra (Eddie) Reyna; brother-in-law Conrad Brennan; grandchildren Asher and Sienna Iverson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 6, 3 p.m., at the cannery lodge at Semiahmoo Park.
