John P. McKnight, 64, passed away peacefully on his birthday after recent years of health challenges.
John was born on February 7, 1962, in Edmonds, WA, to Larry and Eleanor McKnight. He attended Edmonds-Woodway High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Western Washington University.
A lifelong learner and gifted writer, John built his professional career in quality control, quality assurance, and later in regulatory compliance. His steady attention to detail and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
He enjoyed writing his column “Everyday Life” for the Foothills Gazette Newspaper. He was able to share his love for the outdoors through his fishing adventures and stories of family.
John was devoted to his family, a loving father, and a loyal friend.
John will be remembered for his quiet strength, thoughtful presence, and dry humor. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
