The Ladies of Loomis Trail Golf Club is hosting a series of monthly skill clinics this season,
welcoming not only club members but also women golfers from the local community who are interested in improving their skills and enjoying the game of golf.
Held on the second Monday of each month from May through September, the clinics begin at 9 a.m. and feature a different instructional theme each month.
June’s clinic focused on irons and woods, giving participants practical instruction on improving their long-game performance.
Despite blustery and cold weather, 20 women attended the June clinic. Instruction was provided by Trevin Williams, head golf professional at Loomis Trail Golf Course, who delivered expert guidance and devoted considerable one-on-one attention to participants throughout the session.
Following the clinic, 10 of the attendees played nine holes, applying the techniques and tips they had just learned on the practice range.
The response from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. One golfer remarked, “It was the best $5 I ever spent.”
The next skill clinic will be held on Monday, July 13, and will focus on pitching and chipping, helping golfers sharpen their short-game skills around the greens.
Women golfers from throughout the community are invited to attend future clinics. For more information or to register, contact Karen Szol by text at 360-927-3301 or by email at Kszol@comcast.net.
The Ladies of Loomis Trail Golf Club is proud to provide an affordable and welcoming opportunity for women golfers of all abilities to learn, improve and connect through the game of golf.
