Two residents and two medical professionals at Good Samaritan Society – Stafholt have tested positive for COVID-19, a Good Samaritan Society spokesperson said.

The Blaine skilled nursing and rehab facility has notified all family members and is caring for the residents in isolation, said Shawn Neisteadt, spokesperson for the South Dakota-based nonprofit provider of senior care and services.

Neisteadt said he couldn't say anything about the health status of the Stafholt residents or workers.

On March 30, following the initial test results, Stafholt provided testing for all staff and residents at the facility on a one-by-one basis from a tent in the parking lot. Stafholt expects results in the next 24-72 hours.

The Good Samaritan Society – Stafholt team is following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention infection control protocols and taking extra precautions to monitor the health of staff and residents who may have been exposed, Neisteadt said.
