The Blaine Emergency Response Team (BERT) recently launched a website to help Blaine and Birch Bay area residents prepare for the disasters.
The website offers information on flood preparation, response and recovery as well as resources for earthquakes, tsunamis, wildfires and power outages.
BERT volunteers compiled information on how to apply for disaster assistance, preparedness guides, emergency childcare information, septic and well water safety, shelter availability, road closure updates, evacuation essentials and safe cleanup practices. The website also includes links to emergency alert sign‑ups and instructional videos for utility shutoffs and applying first aid.
For more information, visit BERT’s website at blainebert.my.canva.site.
