Gray skies couldn't stop Blaine buccaneers from celebrating this year's Drayton Harbor Pirate Festival on Saturday, Aug. 1. Festivities included live music, a vendors' market, pirate-themed yard games and the highly-anticipated "anything but a boat race." Racers showed up in homemade boats constructed from various materials, including beach balls, plastic buckets and an air mattress. "The Beard Uncle Boat" took first place, "The Greens" took second and "Pirates of the Pacific" took third.
