Join Beach Cat Brewing on Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 7 p.m. for the third annual Catoberfest at Blaine Marine Park, 272 Marine Drive.
The Oktoberfest-themed celebration will include food trucks, live music, family friendly activities, a silent auction and, of course, local beer from Beach Cat and a variety of other breweries. All proceeds are donated to the Blaine Food Bank.
Jake Gobeille, Beach Cat Brewing co-owner, started Catoberfest in 2024 because he felt aligned with the food bank’s mission and wanted to give back to the community. Each year, it falls on or near his late friend, Brad Hill’s, birthday, who died in November 2023.
Last year’s celebration drew over 550 people and raised $40,000 for the food bank.
Since 2024, the event has raised more than $60,000 for the organization, which serves around 750 families per week and is the second-largest food bank in Whatcom County.
General admission tickets cost $25 and include two drink tickets. VIP tickets cost $50 and, in addition to two drink tickets, includes a Catoberfest T-shirt and glass.
The event is family friendly, but pets are not allowed. For more information and to buy tickets, visit catoberfest.org.
