Blaine Splash Days returns to help families beat the heat

Posted

Families looking for an easy and affordable way to cool off this summer will have the perfect opportunity when Splash Days returns to downtown Blaine on Friday, July 17.

Hosted by the Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2, the free community event transforms the intersection of Third and Martin streets into a giant outdoor water playground from noon to 2 p.m.

Children can run through sprinklers, cool off in splash zones, and enjoy a variety of water-themed activities designed to make the most of a warm summer afternoon. Hot dogs, refreshments and frozen treats will also be available for purchase.

Splash Days has become a favorite summer tradition for local families, offering a simple way for children to play outside while parents gather with friends and neighbors. The event provides a safe, welcoming environment where kids can burn off energy, make new friends and enjoy the carefree spirit of summer without leaving town.

The recreation district will host two Splash Days this summer, with a second event planned for Aug. 14.

Whether families stay for an hour or spend the entire afternoon downtown, Splash Days offers a refreshing break from the heat and another reminder of the strong community spirit that makes Blaine’s summer events so popular.

Parents are encouraged to bring towels, sunscreen and a change of clothes — because everyone should expect to get wet.

Admission is free, and no registration is required.
