June 1, 12:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile. Officers contacted the parents and determined the juvenile didn't return home last night when he was supposed to. Officers entered the juvenile as a missing person. The juvenile was later located by his parents playing. Officers cleared with no further incident.
June 1, 1:38 p.m.: Officers responded to the 200 block of Cedar Street for a report of trouble with a customer. Officers arrived to the local business and determined the customer had overstayed his welcome. The customer agreed to leave and a taxi cab was called for him.
June 1, 2:21 p.m.: Officers on routine patrol were waved down by some pedestrians who had found a stray dog. Officers were able to detain the dog and bring it back to the police station to and contact the owner. Officers cleared with no further incident.
June 1, 3:20 p.m.: Officers responded to the 900 block of H Street for a 911 hang up call. Officers verified the building was secure and no one was in distress.
June 1, 3:32 p.m.: Officers responded to a verbal dispute reported in the 1200 block of Mitchell Avenue. Officers arrived and spoke with one party involved who advised the argument was only verbal. The other party refused to speak with law enforcement.
June 1, 6:11 p.m.: Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm. Officers found an unlocked door to the business. The building was checked for intruders and secured. An employee arrived to verify the building was locked. Officers cleared.
June 1, 7:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a fight between two men. Officers contacted the two involved parties. Neither the Ferndale nor Blaine resident wished to pursue charges for the mutual wrestling match. The Blaine resident was cautioned to keep the peace. Officers cleared with no further actions.
June 1, 7:12 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a report of people urinating in public. The offenders had already left the area prior to officers arrival and were not identified. Officers spoke with the reporting party about some possible courses of action. Officers cleared.
June 2, 10:40 a.m.: Officers were notified of a door which had been left open for three days at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Peace Portal Drive. Officers arrived and performed a welfare check. The home was found in order and nothing suspicious was found. Officers secured the door and left the area.
June 2, 12:23 p.m.: A juvenile was reporting missing at Marine Park. Officer arrived at the same time the child was located.
June 2, 1:22 p.m.: A person came to the police department to inform them their estranged husband was now living in a hotel in Blaine. Additionally, the person wanted to speak to the officer about the comments their husband was making towards friends and residents in Blaine. After taking the report, the officer provided the person with contact information for other resources.
June 2, 5:47 p.m.: A Blaine police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of H Street for a speeding violation. The driver was found to have a suspended driver's license. The woman was arrested, cited and released with a mandatory court date.
June 2, 8:02 p.m.: Blaine police responded to a collision in the 2500 Block of Peace Portal Drive. The collision resulted in very minor damage to only one of the vehicles. Officers assisted in an exchange of information and cleared without further incident.
June 2, 10:28 p.m.: During routine patrols Blaine Police located a commercial trailer in the 1500 block of Boblett Street blocking a hydrant. The vehicle was ticketed and found to have no registered owner linked to the registration, therefore a request to move the vehicle by the trucking company could not be made. The trailer was towed as a result of the violation and obvious safety concerns.
June 2, 10:30 p.m.: An officer was informed multiple garbage cans were set on fire, over the weekend at Blaine High School. Video was reviewed. There are no suspects at this time.
June 3, 9:39 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of A Street to assist NWFRS for an aid call to secure the scene. Officers arrived and secured the scene for the fire department. The man was treated for his medical call.
June 3, 9:54 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the Peace Arch POE in reference to a missing elderly couple from Vancouver who had arrived at the port. Officer arrived to find the two being medically treated by the fire department. Both were transported to the ER by the fire department.
June 3, 6:19 p.m.: A Port Ludlow resident became disorientated and ended up at Canadian customs. Canadian customs returned him to U.S. customs, where Blaine police were called in to help with the man. The responding officer was able to locate a caregiver to come pick the man up. The officer informed the man's son of what occurred. The elderly man appeared to suffer from mental illness.
June 4, 8 a.m.: School official reported a parent dropped off their child at school and the parent appeared to be under the influence of something. Officer's arrived at the school but the parent had already left. Officer later located the parent at home and determined they were not under the influence. Officer cleared with no further incident.
June 4, 1:43 p.m.: Officers on routine patrol observed a vehicle speeding. Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the driver has a suspended license. Officers arrested, cited and released the individual with a mandatory court date. The individual was allowed to have a licensed driver retrieve the vehicle.
June 4, 3:02 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of E Street for a welfare check. Officers located an intoxicated man in a wheelchair, passed out in the middle of the street. Aid was contacted and the man was taken to the hospital for an evaluation
June 4, 11:42 p.m.: A woman called police to report a man had been standing outside of her window late at night. When the woman confronted the man he ran away. Police checked the area but did not locate any person of interest.
June 5, 7:33 a.m.: Officers on routine patrol observed a vehicle that’s registered owner had a driving status us suspended. Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as the registered owner. The driver was arrested, issued a criminal citation and released with a court date.
June 5, 11:26 a.m.: Officers took a harassment report in the 500 block of G Street. Officers reached out to the suspected person's probation officer to assist in directing the suspect to stop their behavior.
June 5, 6:37 p.m.: Blaine police were notified of an RV entering into Blaine city limits after dumping its sewage from the holding tank while on the premises of Birch Bay Square shopping center. The officer contacted the occupants of the RV at the food bank. The suspects denied doing such a thing but an employee provided photographic evidence to the contrary. The man and woman were trespassed from the entire Birch Bay Square business area.
June 5, 10:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a complaint of a Blaine citizen making several phone calls to U.S. customs and requesting he be warned not to call unless there is an emergency. Officers contacted the man and warned him not call any law enforcement agencies or 911 without an emergency or legitimate purpose.
June 6, 10:39 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of F Street for a possible domestic violence. Officers arrived and determined through investigating no assault occurred and it was a verbal argument. Officers cleared with no further incident.
June 6, 10:19 p.m.: Officers responded to disorderly subject at a business. Officers contacted the male who started to harm himself. Officers placed him in protective custody and transported him to the hospital for an involuntary mental health evaluation.
