It was a busy June for Blaine High School athletes at tournaments and camps for basketball, football and wrestling in La Center, Burlington-Edison and Rathdrum, Idaho, respectively.
The Blaine wrestling program brought 16 student-athletes to one of the premier wrestling camps in the Northwest for a six-day intensive that challenged its wrestlers on and off the mat through high-level training, live competition, motivational speakers, and opportunities to wrestle athletes from across the region, according to Thomas Hinz, head wrestling coach.
"Beyond improving their wrestling skills, the camp encourages our athletes to set meaningful goals, build confidence, develop resilience and strengthen the work ethic that will serve them throughout the season and in life," Hinz said.
