The Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce celebrated the start of summer break for Blaine area families with its annual Birch Bay Kite Festival on June 21 and June 22 at Birch Bay State Park. Children were supplied with free kites to fly along the shoreline, among other festival activities including a vendors fair, youth games and live music.
