This past year has been a year of challenges, but also one of incredible strength and dedication from our amazing crew of volunteers. We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of families facing food insecurity, coupled with a decrease in donations and funding. Despite these challenges, our trucks have been on the road seven days a week, collecting donated food from grocery stores to keep our shelves stocked.
This year, we had the honor of benefiting from several local fundraisers and the opportunity to meet amazing people within our community. We look forward to establishing new relationships and working cohesively with other nonprofit organizations to better meet the needs of our neighbors.
Our work is largely due to the incredible group of volunteers who share their time with us. From drivers rescuing food and warehouse personnel sorting and storing donations, to volunteers organizing and assisting guests during distribution and an amazing administrative team keeping everything running smoothly, their dedication is invaluable.
We’ve had a change in leadership this year, and while you may see some new faces, our mission remains the same. The Blaine Food Bank is committed to providing food for families in our community facing food insecurity. We look forward to 2025 with optimism for a better future and gratitude in our hearts for this amazing community!
