Whatcom Marine Mammal Stranding Network to hold training

Whatcom Marine Mammal Stranding Network (WMMSN) will hold a training for community members to learn how to respond to seal pups and other marine mammals in need. The training will run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27 at the WECU meeting room, 5659 Barrett Road, in Ferndale.

A $20 fee is required and all supplies will be provided.

The network, which started in 2007, falls under NOAA jurisdiction and is under the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
