Semiahmoo Resort is honoring veterans this November 11 with a dinner and auction to benefit Lynden-based Growing Veterans. The nonprofit aims to empower service men and women as they reenter civilian life through the cultivation of agriculture.
The honorary event at Semiahmoo Resort begins at 6 p.m. and costs $95 per person and $85 for veterans with a $99 room rate for ticket holders. Food presented to guests will be fresh from the Growing Veterans farm and will be cooked up by chefs Roy Breiman and Patrick Glennon.
A live auction will feature travel packages, events tickets and more. Proceeds will go to Growing Veterans, which, staff say, is hoping to purchase a farm in Mount Vernon, a tractor and a hoop house. To make a reservation, visit semiahmoo.com or call 360/318-2042.
