Rescue Me: Every week we'll feature a pup up for adoption at a local animal shelter. Meet Ellie, a 1-year old Pit mix looking for a permanent home. She came to us very skinny and has put on weight here but she is very quick to grab treats or food. Ellis will be required to go to positive based obedience classes with you and this will help with bonding to her new owner. She will need a high quality diet to keep her skin nice and keep her weight up. She is fine with her food around people but she will need to be closely monitored if she will be living with another dog. She is fine with other dogs but again we do not know if she will have resource guarding issues. Ellie just loves everyone and has boundless energy. She would make a great jogging companion and this is the type of outlet she will need to keep you and her happy. Ellie will need a home committed to exercise her and keep her healthy.
