The Editor:

I would like to thank each and every one of you that helped my brother Jason, his girlfriend Hope, and their four children after they lost their home and everything they owned in a house fire. The community’s support, outpouring of love, and generosity has been nothing short of incredible. It’s heartwarming to know that we live in such a gracious community. Thanks to all of you, they are already on a good path to rebuilding their lives. A very special thank you to Bob Boule at the Smuggler’s Inn for giving the family a place to stay while they put the pieces back together.

The Blaine Chamber of Commerce needs you! Volunteers are the driving force behind many of our initiatives and fundraisers.

We need you to get involved, by volunteering with many community events, Ride to the Border, the July 4th celebration, car show, Drayton Harbor Days, Octoberfest and many more. In addition, our new welcome center which opens in late spring is in need of volunteers to serve two-or-three hour shifts. Please contact the chamber at info@blainechamber.com or 360/332-6484.

Please consider volunteering and help support our local events. We look forward to your participation.

Ray Maxon, president

Blaine Chamber of Commerce
