The Point Roberts Fire Department received a call from a private citizen around 11:45 a.m. yesterday regarding an injured eagle on Maple Beach. Crews were dispatched to the location and with the help of others, located and caught the eagle. The eagle was transferred to OWL Rehab in Delta, B.C. at the border at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Discovering an eagle with a broken wing on a morning walk at Maple Beach on April 8, Adam Silver called it in to the fire department which dispatched firefighters to capture it. The eagle was transferred to OWL Rehab in Delta at the border at approximately 12:30 p.m.
