Act of kindness brings a smile to Birch Bay family

Samantha Syrnich and her daughter Cassidy Pederson, 15, pictured, received a Christmas gift a few months early this year thanks to the kindness of one local business owner. Syrnich is a single mother with three kids. Pederson is homeschooled and recently ran into some technical trouble with her laptop computer. Following a friend’s suggestion, Syrnich called Custer-based Nanosecond Tech for help. Owner Kevin Rudy rebooted Pederson’s laptop and connected it to the family’s home printer at no cost. “I try to help people out when I can,” he said.
