Hyperloop, if it ever become practical, will be point to point transit only and, as a pod system, will face challenges in handling the number of passengers per hour required.
Maglev, as in the Transrapid system, may not have the same top speed, but will, through it's fast acceleration and braking profile, maximum speed of 310 mph, provide a stopping system with trains of up to 10 cars, each holding up to 120. Station skipping would be possible to reduce the time of end to end journeys
