The Pickford Film Center presents: The Long Coast with special guest Deborah Granger

Posted

Join us for this Pickford Film Center Doctober event presented by the Whatcom Watersheds Information Network! The Long Coast is a lyrical and impactful study of the coast of Maine, its watery ecosystem and the hardy folks who earn a living from it, told in five chapters that detail both the triumphs and challenges of a rapidly changing way of life. Deceptively simple and decidedly beautiful. 80 min. Unrated.

Immediately after the film, Deborah Granger, local commercial fisherwoman and also the program manager for the Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County, will share her perspective and answer questions. Deb has been involved with the seafood/fishing industry for over 40 years.
