On Saturday, June 2, the Blaine Gardener’s Market will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The market will open for vendors to set up at 8:30 a.m., and officially open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Market vendors will have their booths located in the Pizza Factory parking lot at H Street and Peace Portal Way for this Saturday’s market, as there will be a motorcycle rally at the H Street Plaza at the same time. (Peace Portal Drive may be closed to traffic for these two events, in which case vendors can expand into the street area.)

In addition, the slugs will once again be slithering at the “9th Annual International Blaine Slug Races.” Slugs will be called to the post starting at 12:30 p.m., and children of all ages are welcome to join the fun and compete for sweet prizes. Bring your own slugs from home or use one of our fine racers.

When the slugs are running, the vendors are vending, and the sun is shining, it must mean it’s another beautiful day in sunny downtown Blaine. Please join your friends and neighbors and support the opening of the Blaine Gardener’s Market, now starting its 10th year.
