Blaine residents may here the eerie wail of the west coast tsunami warning system tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21, but it will most likely be just a test.

The National Weather Service is testing the service for the entire west coast of the U.S. tomorrow. The point of the test is to make sure the warning system's sirens make it all the way down to the beaches.

The test will take place at about 10:15 a.m., Pacific Time. The warnings will also be disseminated to emergency management agencies and the media.

The weather service is asking the public to submit feedback on the test via an online questionnaire. The feedback will provide information on how well the warnings were received.

Click here to take the brief survey (once the test is conducted, of course).
