Born February 23, 1932, Robert Ernest Carrington passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25 at the age of 86 years. A native of Seattle, Washington, Bob attended Ballard High School and the University of Washington.
Bob worked for Lone Star/Ash Grove Cement Corporation for 37 years. He retired to Birch Bay in 1992 with his loving wife Loye where they have enjoyed many beautiful sunsets together. He enjoyed his retirement years surrounded by family and close friends who all lived nearby.
Bob is survived by his wife Loye of 64 years and children, Bryce (Pam); Jeff (Tammy); and Laurene (Charlie). He will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Bob, Kristina (Travis), Jessica (Rhyan), Brittaney and great-grandchildren London and Charlie. Bob is also survived by his sister Jean, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Birch Bay Village Club House Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. Remembrances can be made to the Salvation Army.
