Adam Akre pets his new friend, Stuart, at the Pacific Building Center in Blaine. Stuart was one of two cats left homeless after their Bellingham owner passed away. The cats were placed in a home, but quickly escaped. Now they’ve taken up residence at the building center, where Akre says they are welcome as long as they like.
