U.S. Air Force sergeant Jeffrey Ginther, r., accepts the Legion of Valor award from the Veterans Memorial Museum in Fresno, California. Ginther, a Blaine native, was given the award after he rescued two people who had crashed a car into a canal in summer 2015. In addition to the Legion of Valor, Ginther was praised for his actions with a commendation from the California State Legislature last fall.
