Borderites secure two with win against Trojans

Blaine junior guard Stefawn Perrin lead the Lady Borderite’s basketball team to a 49-38 non-conference victory against the Meridian Trojans on Tuesday night at Blaine.

Borderites rebound to dominate Meridian 35-23

“I wish we could have rebounded a little better,” Blaine head basketball coach Dougal Thomas said after his Borderites dismantled Meridian 53-41 for their first victory of the season Tuesday, December 7, “there was a stretch there where we faded a little on the boards.”

Bird named to first all-northwest conference team

Even as the cold weather ushers basketball season in, the Northwest Conference (NWC) released its football post-season rewards. Joining Lynden’ s Josh Kraght, the NWC Most Valuable Player, will be Blaine’s Todd Bird.

Nooksack Pioneers run past Blaine in 49-44 win

The Lady Borderites stayed strong throughout the fourth period of Tuesday’s girls’ basketball non-conference game against Nooksack Valley, but could not keep the Pioneers from sinking free throws near the end to bring Blaine its first loss of the season.
