Borderites rebound to dominate Meridian 35-23

“I wish we could have rebounded a little better,” Blaine head basketball coach Dougal Thomas said after his Borderites dismantled Meridian 53-41 for their first victory of the season Tuesday, December 7, “there was a stretch there where we faded a little on the boards.”

Bird named to first all-northwest conference team

The Lady Borderites stayed strong throughout the fourth period of Tuesday’s girls’ basketball non-conference game against Nooksack Valley, but could not keep the Pioneers from sinking free throws near the end to bring Blaine its first loss of the season.
