In the shadow of last year’s season-ending defeat to Sehome, Blaine found themselves once again facing “win and in” postseason stakes on Thursday, Oct. 27, as they hosted the Mariners for a bit of déjà vu.

Gobbato rushes for season-high 332 yards in win over Anacortes

Blaine headed to Anacortes on Friday, October 21, to teach the Seahawks a lesson in effective border crossing. Staying true to their namesake, the Borderites occupied Anacortes’ gridiron border as if they lived there, crossing the goal line five times on their way to a 36-16 victory.

Blaine cross country sends 4 to district competition

Blaine cross country coach Carey Bacon is doing things a bit unconventionally this year, opting to take just two boys and two girls to the Northwest Conference 2A District meet this Saturday, Oct. 29 at South Whidbey High School.

Blaine tops Bellingham in back-and-forth fashion

Borderites fans can breathe a sigh of relief – the losing streak is over. Blaine dished out a 61-34 bruising on the Bellingham Red Raiders at Civic Field on Saturday, October 15, snapping a four-game winless streak and preserving their hopes for a postseason berth.
