Borderites mauled in 89-31 loss to Mt. Vernon

It had been a tough week for the Blaine boys basketball team. After tough losses to Burlington and Anacortes, they were hoping to get back on track against Mount Vernon on the road Monday, January 18.

Seahawk sharp-shooters sink Borderites

Jackson Kirkpatrick, Matt Welliver and Billy King all scored in double-figures as Anacortes shooters connected on nine three-point goals while inducing 25 Blaine turnovers as the Seahawks blasted the Borderites 62-34 in a Northwest conference game Thursday, January 13.

Blaine continues wrestling winning streak

Blaine’s high school wrestlers made a dominant showing at home last Wednesday against Nooksack Valley as the Borderites won their first meet of the New Year, 43-26.

Ferndale takes advantage of Borderite swoon

Everything was going so well for the Blaine boy’s basketball team. They were matched up with a team that was certainly beatable and had them down by nine points after an efficient and suffocating defensive effort in the first quarter.

Lyncs’ Hommes too much for Borderites

Going into Tuesday night’s game against the undefeated Lynden Christian Lyncs, head girls’ basketball coach Jeremy Hinchey said he knew his team would have a fight on their hands.
