Just a few weeks after the Blaine girls’ high school basketball coach resigned, the boys’ coach announced he also was stepping down.

After a 18-8 season culminating in a 5th-place state finish, the Blaine girls’ basketball team is losing someone special.

Injuries sideline Borderites in key track events

A leg injury kept one of Blaine’s fastest female runners from a competing in a key event at the Northwest Conference (NWC) track championships last Friday, though the girls’ team still finished strong with a fifth place finish and a personal best for another one of its star runners.
