The Borderites held their own as a the sole 1A team in a pool of larger wrestling squads at the Panther Classic

The Borderite boys' basketball team lost to a talented Anacortes squad in a winter solstice conference game at home,

Several of the starters on this year's Borderites girls' basketball team were playing in the game last March when White River knocked Blaine out of the Class 2A quarterfinals, ending a promising state tournament run for the Borderites.

"If there were two minutes left on the clock, we would have won it," Coach Ryan Pike said after the home game Tuesday night against Lynden Christian.

Five Blaine wrestlers traveled to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, for some of the toughest high school wrestling in the west at the Tri-State Tournament.
