Despite holding a 17-12 halftime lead, the Blaine boys’ basketball team lost 48-34 to Burlington-Edison on Tuesday, January 10 at Blaine High School.
The Tigers came alive in the second half, outscoring the Borderites 36-17. Daron Browning led the Tigers with a game-high 20 points, including four three-point field goals.
Blaine contributors include Andrew Price and Gabe Trump, who both posted a team-leading eight points. Chase Speelman added seven, and Zach Rector and Dejan Stefanovic each hit four.
Price and Trump both grabbed a game-leading six rebounds.
Blaine (1-4 conference, 3-9 overall) next takes on the Seahawks starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 13, at Anacortes High School. The Seahawks are one of three Northwest Conference teams teams remaining with a conference record of 5-0.
