Price grabs double-double in boys’ loss

The Burlington-Edison Tigers sent the Borderites boys’ basketball team packing with a 66-50 defeat on Tuesday, December 13, at Burlington-Edison High School.

Blaine senior Andrew Price gave a valiant effort despite the loss, grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds and a team-high 13 points. The Borderites out-rebounded the Tigers 37-19.

Luke Feenstra followed up with 10 points and Zach Rector had seven, but Burlington-Edison had better scoring distribution, including three players who reached double digits.

Aaron Watts led the Tigers with 17 points, followed by Taylor Nelson with 14 and Daron Browning at 12.

The non-conference loss leaves Blaine at 2-4 overall. The Borderites next head to Mount Baker High School to take on the 2-3 Mountaineers starting at 7:30 p.m.  on Friday, December 16.
