For more than 20 years, a group of Northwest Washington residents – most from Blaine – have worked to support Casa de Hogar El Buen Pastor, an orphanage in Morelia, Mexico.

Now in its 19th year, one of the group’s major fundraisers is set for Wednesday, September 14. One hundred percent of the entry fees for the four-person scramble golf tournament will go to the El Buen Pastor Fund, the formal nonprofit formed in 2002 by the Washingtonians to support the orphanage.

The minimum donation to participate is $65 and includes 18 holes, cart rental and barbecue.

Tee off is set for 1 p.m. Hole-in-one prizes are $15,000, a $500 Visa gift card and a 32-inch TV. Door prizes and skill prizes will also be awarded. Teams of four can register by calling 360/366-3131.
