Blaine head softball coach Alisa Burk can say that she took her team to state in her first year. Impressive, when one reflects on a one-win season.

The Borderite girls managed the auspicious feat as they were invited to attend the 2A state softball tournament at Carlon Park in Selah, on May 27 and 28, as the team had the highest combined GPA in the state. Blaine’s combined GPA was 3.7.

Individually, the Borderites were led by Ashley Bolick, Natalee Sellers and Haley Nelson who all gained 4.0 GPAs.
