Undermanned Blaine blanked by Lynden Christian and MV

Already struggling to an 0-11 start with only two goals scored this season, the Borderites boys soccer team was forced to travel to Lynden Christian without four players. With midfielder Brian Sandell out serving a one-game suspension and lead scorer, forward Al Bohnson ineligible, Blaine fell quietly to the Lyncs 8-0 April 20 at Lynden Christian. Juniors Cody Hollander and Jeremy VanBuskirk were also unavailable to play.

Blaine hosted conference leader Mount Vernon and suffered their largest loss of the season losing 13-0 to the Bulldogs April 23 at Pipeline fields. Mount Vernon assaulted goalie Caspar Harezlak with 29 shots on goal even as he grabbed a remarkable 16 saves. 

The loss left the Borderites 0-13, 0-10 in the Northwest Conference.
