Still stinging from the stunning last pitch loss to Lynden in the season opener, the Borderites girls took their frustration out on Bellingham. Caitlyn Dudley handcuffed the Red Raiders on four hits and a balanced offensive attack helped Blaine drub Bellingham 7-1 in NW conference play. The win evened Blaine’s record to 1-1.

Crisp hitting throughout the game and aggressive base running by Amanda Moore allowed the Borderites to get out to a 5-0 after three innings. By then, Dudley, in her second straight start, was cruising. Bellingham’s only run came in the seventh inning, when the outcome was well decided.

Blaine’s game on March 27 at Mt. Baker was postponed because of field conditions.
