Borderite Boys blow past Bellingham in 1st conference win

The Borderites snapped a 7-game losing streak, with a 76-44 win over the heavily favored Bellingham Raiders on Tuesday night.

The Borderites were unstoppable on the court as a team, and with the help of senior Trey Bakogeorge’s 26 points and his 15 rebounds, they were the team that deserved to win. The team’s next home stand is against Mount Vernon on February 8 at 7:30 p.m. as they head into their last 5 regular season games.

The Borderites suffered a tough loss to the Lynden Lions last Thursday with a score of 55-63. However, this was a different Blaine team.

They had a “never give up” attitude and fought to the end to try and pull out a victory. Blaine was led by seniors Trevor Chau and Trey Bakogeorge with 14 points each, and a promising showing by junior Todd Bird with his 13 points.
