Wrestling match will raise money to fight cancer

The three-day Northwest Conference “Coaches Against Cancer” week will be held Thursday, January 21 through the 23 with special events at three different contests. On the 21st at the Sehome game Deb Cummings will be the special honoree and when Blaine plays at Sehome the next night. January 22, long time Borderite wrestling supporter Jerry Wolten will be remembered.

The NWC wrestling meet held at Sedro-Woolley high school on Saturday, January 23 will also have a special program.

All Northwest Conference coaches will wear a special t-shirts and sneakers during the events, and money that’s collected at Blaine high school will be divided between the St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Research Center and the Deb Cummings cancer fund.
