17 Borderites make all-conference team

Led by Joel Garza, Al Bohnson and Tucker Morgan, a record 17 Borderites were named to offensive and defensive all-Northwest Conference teams for the past season.

Garza, Bohnson and Morgan were each named twice, Garza first team linebacker and second team offensive lineman, Bohnson as defensive lineman honorable mention and as second team tight end, and Morgan as second team defensive back and honorable mention as a punter. Others included Brandon Heggem, first team defensive lineman, David Craig, first team defensive back, Tusapa Laolagi, second team linebacker, Shaffer Hicks, honorable mention linebacker, Brad Johnson and Chris Nunez, both honorable mention as defensive linemen.

Offensively, lineman Travis Pederson, Wide Receiver Trevor Chau and running back Caleb Statham were all namd to the first team. Quarterback Jordan McCarty was named to the second team. Wide receiver Todd Bird, kicker Keith Sentkowski and linemen Chris Wood and Anthony Munden were all honorable mentions.
