The sun broke through the clouds on an otherwise gloomy, grey day just long enough to keep the veterans and other community members honoring Veterans Day on Friday, November 11, relatively dry, if still a bit chilly.

We are so lucky to have so much to see and do here in the Pacific Northwest. We just visited the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta, B.C., and had a wonderful time.

Two Blaine residents go all out for Halloween

Whatcom in Bloom is a community beautification project. The annual awards ceremony was held last month. The competition begins in June each year, and runs through the summer.

Children of all ages turned out for the Blaine Gardeners Market pumpkin carving contest on Saturday, October 8.
