POLICE REPORTS
July 11:
A resident reported a car parked
in the middle of the street in the 5500 block of Peregrine
Street for an extended period of time with the door open.
Officers responded and contacted the owner/driver. The
vehicle was moved out of the roadway.

11:
Officers received a complaint about the amount of
noise coming from a party in the 500 block of D Street.
The homeowner was contacted and agreed to assist in keeping
the noisy conversations down.
July
10:
An officer responded to a 911 hang-up call at a business
in the 1300 block of H Street and discovered a boy had
been playing with the phone. The child’s
mother apologized for her son. The officer instructed
the child not to hang up after dialing 911, but to let
the operator know the 911 call was made by mistake.

10:
A person in the 500 block of D Street reported that
someone stole his car trailer from in front of a friend’s
house. The trailer is valued at $1,500. A license
plate of the truck involved in the theft was obtained
and there is a suspect in the case.

9:
Officers responded to a neighbor dispute in the 700
block of Elm Street and learned the parties were yelling
across the street. One of the parties left before police
arrived, ending the argument. An officer located the
missing neighbor and discussed the problem. Both neighbors
agreed to leave each other alone.

9:
A shopkeeper discovered a duffel bag in the trash
in the 800 block of Peace Portal Drive that contained
clean folded clothing and information on the apparent
owner. An officer contacted the owner and determined
the bag was abandoned and the owner did not need assistance.
The shopkeeper requested no further police action be
taken.

9:
A parent called to report their 11-year-old boy had
not returned home as expected. The child was located
at his other parent’s home. The call appeared
to result from a pending divorce and custody issue.
July
8:
A person reported her vehicle stolen the street
near a business in Blaine. The vehicle was entered into
the appropriate systems and a search begun. The car was
found a few blocks from where it was reportedly stolen.
This prompted the owner to remember where she had actually
parked.
